RAINBOW CORNER
RAINBOW CORNER IS A 6 BEDDED CHILDREN’S HOME PROVIDING OVERNIGHT SHORT BREAKS AND DAY CARE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS, AGED 3 TO 19 YEARS
Rainbow Corner has been adapted to meet the physical needs of the children that stay with us. This means that we can provide care for children and young people who have multiple and profound learning disabilities, including those on the Autistic Spectrum, those with complex medical health needs and physical disabilities.
OUR PROVISION
We offer daytime, weekend and overnight care for children and young people with additional needs living in the Andover and surrounding areas. This enables the family to have planned breaks from their carer role, knowing that their child’s needs and wishes will be met from our caring and fully trained Rainbow Corner team.
We can also provide emergency care for a child or young person if we have the capacity available.
ETHOS
The ethos of Rainbow Corner is to provide a safe ‘home from home’ environment for all children whilst with us, maintaining a level of consistency for each individual child. Staff continue with the children’s individual programmes such as sleep, mealtimes, behaviour, toileting, independence, emotional and social development related, in liaison with their school, parents and other relevant professionals.

Things are going extremely well and knowing my Y.P. has somewhere suitable for respite is a great relief.
I think Isabella would like to stay a little longer, she's never keen to be picked up! Isabella appears to really enjoy her stays at Rainbow Corner, she gives a big smile upon arrival and is often unhappy to leave! Ami and her team are getting to know Isabella well and we feel reassured that Isabella’s best interests and safety are of utmost importance to them.
